NFPA
Code 90A 3-4.7 states that all fire and smoke dampers must be inspected
every four years. In addition, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL)
reminds all property owners whose buildings are equipped with fire,
smoke and combination fire/smoke dampers to comply with NFPA 90A,
and JCAHO requires that all healthcare facilities are in compliance
with this regulation as well.
